Tennis Balls

So all balls are round, right. And yes most are yellow, but some particularly balls designed for juniors and toddlers may well be multi coloured. Everything else about tennis balls is open to interpretation, every tennis player has his personal favourite. So lets get to the bottom of the great ball debate!!! and see if we can open your mind just a little.

I wouldn't like to be a tennis ball, they get blamed for everything. Most players forget about all the other varying factors on a given day , sun, wind, rain, heat, cold, type of court, lighting, opponent, etc,etc and just blame the ball if all is not going well. The one particular telling statistic about a tennis ball is its weight, and from that you can often tell quite a lot about how it will play. Other factors also include the air pressure within the ball and the type and thickness of the cloth.

Some tennis balls are pressureless balls, they don't rely on internal air pressure but rather the constitution of the rubber they nare made from. These balls are ideal for the irregular player or those that possess a ball machine, where consistency of pressure is needed.

Tennis elbows can certainly be harmed with the wrong ball or a ball that has lost its pressure. For those who suffer from it, some advice will go a long way in helping contain the problem at least, if not contributing to curing it.

For tennis clubs always on the lookout for ball deals , there are many companies looking for your business. Most will offer a subsidy back to your club for help in meeting its running costs, dependant on the amount of baslls used within a year. This information we gladly give to interested clubs so that they can make an informed decision on their tennis ball needs. In this game , price is certainly not everything, and some of the cheaper priced balls can often outperform the higher bettter known brands
