STRINGING
Stringing a tennis racquet. The basic act of restringing is quite simple and straight forward.A consistent approach is the key. Same machine, same technique and same pattern, time after time. The" special art" is the accumulated knowledge and professionalism built up over years that enables a racquet technician to arrive at a tension and string type that works for you.

Some of the myriad of little influences that make for that special feel may include – type of racquet and it's stiffness, string pattern, head size, type of player using it, serve volleyer or baseliner, attacking or defensive, are there injury problems to accommodate? Any sponsorship considerations? Any technique concerns?

How often do they play on what type of courts and of course what costs are affordable? After all that the technician chooses one type from thousands available, and of course intimate knowledge of brands, models and string construction are required. This is where the true technician works for his money. Once this process is completed all our work is logged on to our custom built RACKDATA software.

We use the state of the art "Flex Infinity Racquet Test Machine" where completed absolute stringbed stiffness is recorded. This then lets us track tension loss and wear at anytime during a restrings life, ensuring our customers are keeping their equipment, just right !!! CUSTOMIZATION
Racquet customisation will mean different things to each individual. To a once a week player it might mean simply matching weight, balance and dynamic swingweight to his one or two racquets. To a keen pennant competitor who is a regular player it may mean all the above plus the addition of some mass and perhaps a custom grip fit. For an aspiring tour player it may mean multiple sessions, on and off court, to find the right "stick", and then the same amount of work to make it " just right". This process may include the taking of point by point statistics, videotaping, and match plotting. It is about at this stage as a preference emerges that time will be spent on finding the right string and grip and other fine adjustments. For this level of player commercial considerations are often also involved such as existing sponsorship arrangements and the like. All of this done with great attention to detail and the use of the finest equipment available, sourced from all over the world. Finally our customer leaves with a custom Stringlab racquet.

Well OK should I customize my racquet/s? Simply put yes. You already do this to some extent without even thinking about it as customizing. You pick a racquet by it's head size, weight,length and power level … You then get it strung with a string that fits your style of play at a tension that works for you.
